Is Bigfoot Real and Where Does He Live

Some common questions about Sasquatch are “is Bigfoot real”? And if so, “where does he live”? These are some very valid inquiries of the alleged creature. If the elusive creature truly exists, it’s got to live somewhere, doesn’t it? Not only does it need shelter but it will presumably need enough space for a family as well. Assuming the creature is of flesh and blood as the majority of Bigfoot believers assert, they would need space for themselves and at the very least a small family unit within a small colony. Having said that, I will leave that reality for you to ponder and another post to debate on.

Now, we’ve heard about this creature scavenging for food in a wide range of environments, being sighted at all times of the day and night. But beneath all that is still the question of its place of origin. Despite what skeptics may say about it, there have been many credible sightings by credible individuals that cannot be discounted as a hoax or an elaborate prank. We have to start somewhere with this as we ask questions about the elusive creature. This requires relying on witnesses and that means we have to look at them. After all, the critters are not going to reveal themselves unless they want to be found. So there has to be some sort of motive behind their hiding places.

So where is bigfoot, where is he located? On a grand scale, there have been bigfoot sightings around the world. Pretty much anywhere with significant forests/woodlands, bigfoot-type creatures have been encountered and formally reported. Depending on the region we are talking about, the creature will have different names it is called by however they all appear to be the same type of animal nevertheless. It is known in the Northeastern United States that such creatures are called ‘wood ape’, ‘wood ape man’ or ‘wood monkey’. In the Midwest, they are also referred to as the ‘skunk ape’. In some parts of North America, they are commonly referred to as Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Skunk Ape, Yeti, Yowie, Skookum, or Eyak. In other areas of the world, it is called a Yeti in Nepal and Tibet while in northern Russia it is known as a romushka. ‘Lang-mi’ is what such creatures are called in China. In India, it is known as the ‘man-bear’.

This is actually a very interesting scenario because if the creature is simply a figment of people’s imagination, we must then ask why are people from around the world imagining the same type of being. A very interesting scenario indeed, and a very important question to debate in a future blog post. However, for the intended purposes of this post, I shall regress.

For the believers/investigators alike of Bigfoot which have allegedly seen, tracked, and investigated the creature across numerous regions around the world, the creature is more or less described the same. And with these various areas around the world inherently comes different types of climates. Bigfoots have been observed according to eyewitness reports within these various regions and climates uniquely adapting to their immediate surroundings. Whether it be the swamps of Florida “swamp/skunk ape” or the freezing weather of the Himalayas “the abominable snowman” or the Pacific Northwest, Bigfoot’s seem to be able to adapt quite nicely, not to mention stealthily. But what is the function of such an adaptable creature? Have they actually adapted to their surroundings in order to elude or to avoid capture from humans such as researchers and trackers? Are they simply camouflaged with their surroundings for protection for their existence as such a mysterious animal or are they doing so only because of the current beliefs in the United States about them, being simply a mythical hoax?

Honestly, these days it seems like Bigfoot’s can practically live and roam all across the country and around the world. I mention this partly in jest however it seems like every year more and more Bigfoot encounters are being reported in areas not known formally as prime Bigfoot habitats. It seems like either people’s imaginations are getting more elaborate or for some reason, Bigfoots are seeking more territory to inhabit. Here’s a quick question to ponder. You believe Bigfoot’s actually being seen/encountered more due to climate change/warming? According to most mainstream scientists due to climate change, many different types of animal species are being forced to relocate from their natural habitats. If all these different animals are being forced to relocate, why not Bigfoot as well. If Bigfoot is truly a flesh and blood animal of sorts, as most Sasquatch investigators/researchers suggest; then it makes perfect sense for them to struggle with climate warming along with other documented acknowledged species.

At last count, there were over thousands of Bigfoot/Sasquatch sighting cases recorded since the 1970s. From North America to South America; from Russia to Mexico; all around the world has been recorded anecdotal reports of sightings of large unknown mammals. What is intriguing is that during the course of many of these alleged encounters, there are varying descriptions and accounts from witnesses including UFO sightings assigned to the same time period or location. The number of documented Bigfoot sighting accounts continues to rise not just in North America but all around the world. From all walks of life to different demographics; people all over have reported numerous Sasquatch encounters and sightings for decades now.

In conclusion, until we finally capture one of these giant/hairy beasts alive, until we can prove they are being truthful about their encounters with man, Bigfoot and all the other unknown animal species roaming this planet will continue to remain a remote myth. Nonetheless, it is interesting that as I mentioned in the introduction, there are more Bigfoot sightings being reported. Here’s a question for you. If in fact, these sightings are on the rise and Bigfoots or Sasquatch is on the move, what do you think they will target next?
